Dr. Ainars Rudzitis is Cardiologist at the Latvian Centre of Cardiology, Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (Riga, Latvia). He is Assistant Professor at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Medicine and Senior lecturer at the Riga Stradins University. Since 2014 he is also Chairman of the board of Rare Diseases Research Fund.
The main field of interest is related to pulmonary arterial hypertension, echocardiography, congenital and structural heart disease in adults and rare diseases in cardiology (Fabry disease, amyloidosis, cardiomyopathies). Ainars Rudzitis is author and co-author of several international publications in pulmonary hypertension, interventional cardiology, congenital heart disease and structural heart disease interventions.
His involvement in research currrently is associated with Fabry disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, interventions in structural heart disease.
