Ricards Kaulins
Ricards Kaulins is a driven final-year medical student at Riga Stradiņš University, who has always been captivated by rare diseases, particularly pulmonary hypertension. With a sharp interest in cardiology, he hopes to pursue his career in this field putting every effort in honing his knowledge and skills. Currently, Ricards is involved as a research student in research project “Introduction of Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty Method and Evaluation of its Effectiveness in the Treatment of Patients with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension at Pauls Stradins University Clinical Hospital”. Ricards has taken on the role of clinical coordinator for the Latvian center of the ELEVATE 2 phase 2b clinical trial since 2021. Ricards is also an author and co-author of international publications, with a particular focus on pulmonary hypertension.
